Acceptance of Service

By creating an account on UniHubs or otherwise using the platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, please do not use UniHubs.

Accounts & Eligibility

UniHubs is built for students, tutors, agents and landlords around LAUTECH and Ogbomoso. You must be at least 16 years old to use the platform.

You agree to provide accurate, current information when you sign up and to keep it up to date. A student email, where supplied, must be a valid @student.lautech.edu.ng address. You are responsible for keeping your password confidential and for all activity under your account — tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorised use.

Listing Rules

UniHubs hosts three hubs: manuals & past questions, tutoring profiles, and apartment/hostel listings. Every listing must be truthful and may only offer items, services or property you own or are authorised to represent. Prices, availability and listing details must be accurate and kept current.

Sellers, tutors and agents make their own arrangements with buyers, students and tenants. UniHubs is not a party to those arrangements.

Prohibited Conduct

• Posting fake, misleading or fraudulent listings, or impersonating another person.
• Requesting money or deposits through deceptive pretexts.
• Harassing, abusing or discriminating against other users.
• Scraping, mass-downloading or overloading the platform, or attempting unauthorised access.
• Posting illegal, obscene or infringing content.
• Circumventing moderation, verification or access controls.

User Content

You keep ownership of the content you post — listings, photos and bios. You grant UniHubs a worldwide, non-exclusive licence to host, display and reproduce that content solely to operate and promote the service.

You are solely responsible for your content and must have the rights needed to post it. We may remove content that breaks these Terms.

Agent & Landlord Obligations

Agents and landlords must have the right to advertise every property they list, answer enquiries honestly, and honour the terms they publish. You permit a UniHubs representative to physically inspect a property when the Physically Visited badge is applied. You may not discriminate against prospective tenants on unlawful grounds.

Fees & Payments

UniHubs is currently free for students. There are no platform fees on sales, rentals or tutoring sessions — buyers, tenants and students pay sellers, landlords and tutors directly, at their own risk. UniHubs does not process, hold or escrow money. Any fees introduced later will be announced in advance.

Verification Badges

An agent profile marked Verified has had its identity checked by UniHubs. A room listing marked Physically Visited means a UniHubs representative inspected the property — it is not an endorsement of the landlord or a guarantee of a tenancy.

Verification reduces risk; it does not remove it. Always do your own checks before paying anyone.

Reporting & Moderation

Use the Report listing button to flag suspicious, harmful or rule-breaking content, or contact us directly. We review reports and may edit, hide, deactivate or remove listings, and suspend accounts, that breach these Terms or the law. We may act without notice where we reasonably believe harm is ongoing.

Disclaimers & Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, UniHubs is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee the accuracy of user listings, the availability of any item or property, or that the platform will be uninterrupted or error-free.

UniHubs is a venue that connects parties — transactions are between users. Our aggregate liability for any claim is limited to the greater of NGN 0 and any amounts you have paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

Termination

You may close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, create risk for other users, or are required to be ended by law. On termination your access ends and your content may be removed in line with our retention practices.

Changes to the Service

We may modify, add or retire platform features as the service evolves, and we may update these Terms to match. Material changes will be posted on this page with an updated date; continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
